Web browser JavaScript set up page . . .




Most of this website is written to allow viewing by web browsers in their basic state. However, in order to run the Insight programme from a browser a feature known as "JavaScript" needs to be enabled. What's JavaScript?




 


     



What's JavaScript?

JavaScript was invented by Netscape. It is a simple computer language for web browsers that enables things like hover buttons and simple form reading. In this case it is needed to detect if Java is present. Java is a full size programming language. Confusingly Java has absolutely nothing to do with JavaScript.
